Upload a Supplement Facts panel to review its listed ingredients and doses. Check one label or compare up to three side by side.
A screenshot of the Supplement Facts panel from Amazon or the brand's site works great. Check one product, or compare up to three.
Photographing the bottle? Hold the phone straight on and let the Supplement Facts panel fill the frame. Not near the bottle? Find the product on Amazon or the brand's site, open the Supplement Facts image, and screenshot it.

Temporary: design review only
Temporary, for review only. This is the scorecard email as this file builds it, from the same data sent to Klaviyo. It updates when labels are added, removed, or corrected. When only the example is loaded, the preview uses the example (real visitors never get the example emailed).
The Tempered card uses a placeholder formula (8 ingredients from early planning; black pepper extract dose assumed at 5 mg). Confirm the real formula in the settings before Tempered is available.
The reader can misread small print. Compare with the label, fix any names or amounts, and remove rows that aren't ingredients. Everything above and below updates as you edit.
| Ingredient | Amount | Unit | Type | Remove |
|---|
1. Major ingredient line per serving: 1 capsule → 25%, 2 capsules → 20%, 3 capsules → 15%, 4 or more capsules → 10%. 2. Add up all the ingredient amounts (mcg and IU count as roughly 0 mg) for a total of "W". 3. Take each ingredient's dose and divide it by "W" to get its percent of the serving. 4. If an ingredient's percent is at or above the major line (15% for 3 capsules), count it as a Major ingredient. Below the line, it's a Minor ingredient. 5. Minor ingredients that are vitamins or minerals, or low-dose ingredients at their normal dose (black pepper extract ~5 mg, saffron ~28–30 mg), are small by design. They count toward the ingredient total but not against the score. 6. Check: Major + Minor + vitamins/minerals should equal the number of ingredients on the label. 7. Ratio = Minor ÷ Major (herbs and extras only). If there are no Major ingredients, the formula fails. 8. Capsule penalty: 1–3 capsules +0, 4 → +0.25, 5 → +0.75, 6 or more → +1.5. 9. Score = ratio + penalty. 0 to 0.50 → Optimized. Above 0.50 to 2.0 → Adequate. Above 2.0 → Fail. For an Adequate score, compare each Major ingredient against its studied dose to settle the verdict.
About this tool and score. The Formula Focus Check and its score were created by Tempered for marketing and entertainment purposes. They offer one perspective on how to look at a Supplement Facts label. The scoring method is based on a mathematical formula created by Tempered. It is arbitrary and subjective, built on simple rules we chose, such as how much of a serving each ingredient should take up and how many capsules a serving should require quantitatively. It has not been reviewed, tested, validated, peer-reviewed or endorsed by any scientist, physician, regulator or independent third party.
The score is not scientific, medical, nutritional or professional advice, and it is not a definitive rating of any product. It does not measure whether a supplement is safe, effective, high quality or right for you. It does not reflect ingredient quality, form, sourcing, purity, testing, bioavailability, or how ingredients work together. A high score does not mean a product is bad. A low score does not mean a product is good, and that includes Tempered’s own score. Other reasonable methods could produce very different results.
Results depend on an automated reading of the image you provide, which can misread names, amounts or serving sizes. Always check the actual label. The tool scores only the label you upload and makes no statement or claim about any brand, manufacturer or company. Nothing in the results is intended to disparage or make factual claims about any third-party product. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

This score measures how a formula is put together, not whether it's safe or effective for you. Studied doses are general reference points from published research. Label reading can make mistakes, so always compare against the actual label. This isn't medical advice; talk to a healthcare professional before starting supplements.
